Celebrating IAF’s 10,000th Project

IAF is proud to mark an exciting milestone: the completion of its 10,000th project supporting BC’s agriculture and food sector.

This moment is about more than a number. It reflects thousands of ideas brought to life by producers, processors, researchers, and industry partners across the province, each contributing to a stronger, more resilient agriculture and food sector.

From on-farm innovation to applied research and food-sector advancement, IAF-delivered projects span the value chain and support practical solutions that deliver real impact.

As IAF celebrates this milestone, the focus remains firmly on the future. With new challenges and opportunities ahead, IAF looks forward to continuing its work with partners to support the next generation of ideas shaping agriculture in BC.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make the first 10,000 projects possible—we can’t wait to see what comes next.

About the 10,000th Project

Participant: Bovee Ranching Ltd. | Program: Climate Agri-Solutions Fund | Project Funding: $21,875

This project focused on implementing rotational grazing, specifically intensive short-duration grazing. It included the purchase and installation of portable temporary fencing (a Razor Grazer and Power Grazer) to improve pasture health, enhance manure distribution, increase carrying capacity, and reduce soil erosion. Together, these improvements supported a more sustainable and resilient farming operation.

This project was funded in part by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Climate Agri-Solutions Fund delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC.
